A three day workshop to dive into the art of free motion and custom quilting techniques, immersive classes held in person at A Quilter's Choice - APQS West.
The workshop is tailored to accommodate all skill levels, from beginner to seasoned experts. Led by the Award Winning Master Quilter Myrna Ficken, participants will explore the core principles of free motion, custom quilting design and techniques, rulers and more. Mastering advanced methods essential for enriching your quilting endeavors.
Throughout the course, attendees will acquire new techniques, honing design skills, and practicing quilting on our top-of-the-line APQS longarm machines. These acquired skills can seamlessly transfer to your personal machine, empowering quilters to continue their creative journey independently.
All you need to bring is a sketchpad and pencils. All other materials required are supplied for the hands-on learning experience.
Additionally, you'll receive training handouts, as well as design essentials. Plus, you will get a wall hanging like the one pictured to finish at home using some of your newly developed skills.
Note: I’m super excited to teach this workshop. I want everybody to relax and enjoy learning. This is not a contest, you are not comparing yourself to anyone else, you’re learning and expanding your portfolio. It doesn’t matter what kind of longarm you have, we will be using my APQS Long arms. It’s not about what you’re using, It’s about what you’re learning.
